Galvanized L Channel
Product Introduction
The Galvanized L Channel, also known as a galvanized steel angle or L-shaped angle, is a metal profile made from carbon steel coated with zinc for corrosion protection.
Features
Excellent anti-corrosion performance
The Galvanized L Channel adopt hot-dip galvanizing process, and the zinc layer thickness reaches 80-150g/m² (about 12-22 microns), which is 3-6 times thicker than ordinary electroplated zinc layer.
Optimized structural strength
Our products use Q235B or S355JR structural steel, with yield strength ≥235MPa and tensile strength ≥360MPa.
Precise size specifications
Our products adopt precision cold bending forming process, with leg length tolerance controlled within ±0.3mm and verticality error ≤0.5mm/m.
Applications
Building structure support
Galvanized L Channel is widely used for corner reinforcement, frame connection and structural support of buildings.
Doors, windows and decorative frames
Commonly used for corner edge sealing or frame reinforcement in door and window systems.
Equipment racks and industrial brackets
In industrial fields such as electromechanical equipment, air conditioning systems, and photovoltaic module installation, L-shaped steel is used to make brackets, frames, and supports.
Cable trays and distribution system structural parts
In electrical engineering, it is used as the side beam, support arm or corner connector of the cable tray to improve the stability and corrosion resistance of the overall system. It is particularly suitable for cable support systems in underground pipe corridors, factory buildings or humid environments.

FAQ
Q: What is a galvanized L channel?
A: A galvanized L channel, also known as an angle iron, is a steel product shaped like the letter "L" with a zinc coating applied by hot-dip or electro-galvanizing. The zinc layer provides excellent corrosion resistance, making it suitable for structural, framing, and support applications.
Q: What are the common uses of galvanized L channels?
A: Galvanized L channels are widely used in metal framing, bracing, shelving, corner protection, fencing structures, and construction support systems. They offer both structural reinforcement and long-term rust protection, even in outdoor or humid environments.
Q: What are the benefits of using galvanized L channels?
A: Galvanized L channels offer durability, corrosion resistance, and low maintenance requirements. The protective zinc coating extends the service life, especially in applications exposed to moisture, chemicals, or weather elements. They also provide strong load-bearing capacity while being easy to fabricate.
Q: What sizes are available for galvanized L channels?
A: Standard sizes include leg lengths from 20mm to 100mm and thicknesses from 1.5mm to 6mm. They are commonly supplied in 6-meter lengths, but custom dimensions can be produced based on project requirements.
Q: Can galvanized L channels be cut, welded, or drilled?
A: Yes. Galvanized L channels can be cut, drilled, and welded using standard fabrication tools. However, proper ventilation is necessary during welding to avoid exposure to zinc fumes, and post-weld touch-up or re-galvanizing is recommended for corrosion protection at weld points.
