Product Introduction
The Bright Mild Steel Round Bar is a round-shaped metal bar made from mild steel that has been cold drawn or cold finished to achieve a bright, smooth surface finish and tight dimensional tolerances.
Features
High mechanical strength
The Bright Mild Steel Round Bar is made of low carbon steel (carbon content 0.05%-0.25%) cold-drawn, with a precision polished surface and a denser internal grain structure. Its tensile strength reaches 370-500 MPa and its yield strength is 235 MPa, which is about 15%-20% higher than the mechanical properties of ordinary hot-rolled round steel.
High dimensional accuracy
Our products are cold-drawn and polished, and the round steel diameter tolerance can be controlled within ±0.1mm, and the surface roughness (Ra) is ≤1.6μm.
Excellent corrosion resistance
The dense oxide layer (Fe3O4) formed on the surface of our products can block the penetration of moisture and oxygen, and the corrosion resistance in a dry environment is 2 times higher than that of ordinary black round steel.
Stable welding performance
The low carbon content makes the material carbon equivalent (C.E.) less than 0.4%, and cold cracks can be avoided without preheating during welding.
