Hot Dipped Galvanized Steel Wire Mesh
Product Features
The Hot Dipped Galvanized Steel Wire Mesh is a type of wire mesh made from low-carbon steel wire that has been coated with a protective layer of zinc through a hot-dip galvanizing process.
Features
Excellent corrosion resistance
The hot-dip galvanizing process forms a 60-80 micron zinc layer on the surface of the steel wire. Zinc and iron combine to form a dense protective layer that isolates oxygen and moisture.
Precise specification control
Hot Dipped Galvanized Steel Wire Mesh are controlled by automated production lines, with mesh tolerances within ±3% (e.g. the nominal 25mm mesh is actually 24.25-25.75mm), and the wire diameter error is less than 0.05mm.
Excellent waterproof performance
The hot-dip galvanized layer reacts with oxygen and moisture in the air to form a dense alkaline zinc carbonate protective film, which can effectively prevent water vapor from penetrating into the metal surface.
Applications
Concrete Reinforcement
Used as reinforcement mesh in concrete slabs, walls, and pavements to improve tensile strength and crack resistance.
Plastering Support
Serves as a lath for plaster or stucco applications on walls and ceilings.

FAQ
Q: Do you offer OEM/ODM services?
A: Yes, we provide OEM and ODM services according to your requirements.
Q: What are your payment terms?
A: We usually accept T/T or L/C. Other payment methods can be discussed if needed.
Q: Can you provide samples?
A: Yes, we offer free samples for standard sizes. However, the buyer is responsible for the shipping cost. For customized samples or special requirements, additional charges may apply and can be discussed accordingly.
Q: What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
A: Most sizes are available in stock, so the MOQ is just one unit.
Q: How do you ensure quality control?
A: All products undergo strict quality inspection before shipment. If required, third-party inspection can also be arranged prior to loading.
Q: What is the difference between hot dipped galvanized and electro-galvanized wire mesh?
A: Hot dipped galvanized wire mesh has a thicker zinc coating (typically 50–100μm) formed by immersing the steel wire in molten zinc. This provides superior corrosion resistance and durability. In contrast, electro-galvanized mesh has a thinner zinc layer and is more suitable for indoor or dry environments.
Q: How long does hot dipped galvanized wire mesh last outdoors?
A: The lifespan of hot dipped galvanized wire mesh in outdoor conditions is typically 15 to 20 years, and even longer in dry, low-humidity areas. This is 3 to 5 times longer than electro-galvanized products, which usually last only 3 to 5 years in similar conditions.
Q: What are the common specifications of hot dipped galvanized wire mesh?
A: Standard wire diameters range from 1.0mm to 5.0mm. Mesh openings commonly include 1/4", 1/2", 1", and 2", and can be customized based on application needs. The mesh is available in both welded and woven types, with roll lengths and widths also customizable.
