High Carbon Wire Rod is a type of hot-rolled steel wire rod with a high carbon content, typically ranging from 0.45% to 0.85% carbon by weight.

Outstanding fatigue life
The rotating bending fatigue test shows that the number of cycles under 600MPa stress amplitude exceeds 2 million times, which is 3 times longer than the life of similar medium carbon steel products.

 

Strict dimensional accuracy
The diameter tolerance of our products is ±0.1mm (Φ5.5-14mm specifications), and the ovality is ≤0.15mm. The surface oxide scale thickness is ≤15μm, which reduces the subsequent pickling loss by more than 20%.

 

Stable material consistency
The High Carbon Wire Rod adopt the furnace refining (LF+VD) process, [O]≤20ppm, [S]≤0.015%, and the composition fluctuation is controlled within ±0.03%, ensuring that the mechanical properties difference is less than 5% during mass production.

 

Customized heat treatment adaptability
We can provide spheroidized annealing organization (spheroidization rate ≥90%) according to customer needs, or deliver directly in the drawn state. The tensile strength fluctuation range of annealed materials is ≤50MPa, which meets the requirements of precision spring manufacturing.
